My n=1 results have shown sunburn to be eliminated. And I’m a redhead...— Greg (@streetsigns) November 28, 2017
we had similar experiences on a summer holiday in southern France last July. Tanned but not burnt— meerar07 (@meerar07) November 28, 2017
I've observed n-3s, ubiquinol, lycopene, astaxanthin significantly reduce sun burn. I basically never burn anymore, but odd side effect is I'm ghostly white year around even in sunny San Jose.— Galen Z (@foodtechhacker) November 28, 2017
Sun burn threshold good measure of inflammatory state and oxidation stress of body.
I will say for the period that I have been plant free, I did not sunburn when I normally would have.— Troy Wynn (@BurpeesCure) November 28, 2017
Vegetable free eating meat, eggs and cheese for 9 months and never burnt once this last summer...Shirtless all day on the water, I would have burned in the past.— π₯π Ήπ Ύπ ΄ π (@2deuces) November 29, 2017
Which inspired me to bring this to Dr. Shawn Baker's attention, as he's been running the N=Many carnivory test, which has expanded into some other topics:
Ah, I think we've got an n=many that could really move the needle here, doc.@SBakerMD https://t.co/XPGlXEE0LK— Tucker Goodrich (@TuckerGoodrich) November 29, 2017
I’ve seen it reported by quite a few carnivores that sun tolerance is better (myself included)— SBaker MD (@SBakerMD) November 29, 2017
Yeah, it doesn't take carnivory, just seed oil avoidance and insulin control.— George Henderson (@puddleg) November 29, 2017
I thought this was a crazy idea, that low carb/carnivory could help prevent sunburn, but I've not been using sunscreen, and I don't get burned. Still get red at times, but not burned. Haven't tested it in the full bore of an Arizona sun, though. Wimpy New England sun instead.— Robert Mauri (@patentbobm) November 29, 2017
Intereresting, I guess it's not just me.
I got the idea from one of Mark Sisson's Success Stories, many years ago, and thought it was nuts until it happened to me too.
