Interview: "The Foundation of Modern Disease. Which Fats Are Really Killing You?" Ideal Day Podcast with Adam Parker

Here's the podcast page, and here's Adam web page.

We discussed cardiovascular disease right through, and got into sunburn a bit at the end, as well as why we are told to eat the way we are.

Very nice discussion!

"Tucker Goodrich is a Wall Street tech extraordinaire and nutrition science enthusiast. After doctors and the healthcare system let him down in severe and avoidable ways, he took his health into his own hands and had amazing results.

"He’s done a ton of research on Omega 6 fatty acids otherwise known as seed oils otherwise known as vegetable oils previously known as an industrial waste product before we started feeding them to humans. He makes a compelling case for them being a major factor in many, if not all, modern diseases. You’ll definitely not want to be eating fast food fries cooked in old, rancid vegetable oils after this episode."

  1. Loved this, thankyou. Been low carb no seed oils proponent for many years. Have helped others also to turn their health around. So much in this podcast resonates with me.

  2. Heard about the Polish study on healing fatty liver! I would like to do a similar diet to heal my fatty liver. Stryggling to find a comprehensive list of foods to avoid. Are there any books published on this subject?

  3. What is your thinking about sushi - either at restaurants or the "ready made" kind at the grocery store? On the face of it, it should not contain any seed oils (unless perhaps there is a fried ingredient).

Do I understand you correctly that you do not believe carbs, as such, contribute to heart disease - it's just the combo of carbs and seed oils, or just the seed oils? Thus, if you avoid seed oils, carbs are relatively safe?

    1. I'm a big fan of sushi. May have a tiny bit of sesame as a flavoring, but nothing to worry about.

Yes, I think on a low-n-6 diet carbs are relatively safe. If you are already damaged (overweight, diabetic) it may take several years to get to the point where you can add them back in...
