Running and Hydration

A nice post by Steve Magness:

"Instead he concluded that drinking by thirst, or just enough, is what is needed. We’ve seemed to reach that happy medium indeed. It just took us about a century."

Yikes.  It tooks the scientists "about a century" to get back to where they started.  This is why the "industrial" scientific method is a bad way to make decisions.  It simply takes too long.

  1. I lose tons of salt when I run and get dehydrated really easy.. sigh. Not much seems to work

  2. How far are you running? You shouldn't have any issues with salt unless you're running for three hours or more in hot conditions...
